Less Budget, More Love

What is the first thing that comes to your mind when you hear about Valentines? Maybe it’s a special date with your special someone. Of course you’ll think about it more and more deeply as the day is getting nearer. For sure you already have an idea about what you would do to make it special. However, when the 14TH of February hits the calendar and you only got one thousand pesos on your pocket, all your wonderful ideas for your valentines date has gone with the wind and it feels like you are facing a real challenge! Why didn’t you notice how time flies? Now you don’t have any choice but to take your chance with one thousand pesos that you have. But wait, P1000 may actually be enough to have a wonderful date! People on a tight budget can also have a romantic Valentine’s Day.

Just think of some fresh ideas. Something which may be cheaper but unique and can make your partner excited. First, you have to be creative. Instead of buying expensive bouquet of roses, try to get some fresh flowers from the backyard, tie it with ribbons and put a card with your sweet message. You can also make your own chocolate cookies with your own unique design, for example, her name on it. What about gift? Instead of buying huggable big bear, you can buy a cute one which definitely costs less than the big one. Flowers, chocolates and a little bear will not cost you more than 500 pesos and you still have half of your money. The money left is for food. It’s easy. Bring her to a park with a relaxing view. Make her experience the beauty of nature while eating some street foods like, fishball, kikiam and siomai with sago or gulaman drinks. Think of some funny things to say and make her laugh while eating. In that way, you can easily catch her attention.

After eating, it is the best time to give her your home made chocolate cookies, your cutie bear and your own style of a bouquet of flowers that you personally arrange. While sitting on the grass, and you can’t think of the right words to say, get your earphones and put the other one to her ears so that you can both listen to a love song. If your date returns your earphone, start talking about your dreams and anything that she wants to talk about. It’s important to know what topics she might get interested in so that she will not get bored.

This is my great idea of dating with 1000 pesos in my pocket. Because love is more important above anything else. It is more than an expensive date or expensive things that only money can buy. What is important is what I feel when I am with my special someone whether it’s a date or a simple hello to each other. I know that even if it’s just a simple date, I will make sure that there’s love that we can share together and it will make things more special than expected. Don’t let dull moments ruin your date that’s why I prepared plans A , B and C so that there’s always an option to make the date almost perfect.
