American Association of the Philippines helping Amerasians for Years

Association of the Philippines (AAP) is the historic partnership of its members -- the American community, the US Embassy, and the American corporations -- which in 1949, successfully helped the struggling local Americans displaced by the ravages of World War II in the Philippines. For years, the objective expand to help not just Americans from the war but also poor and Amerasians who needs help in the Philippines.

AAP celebrated it’s 70th Year Anniversary last February 17, 2018, Saturday, 6PM at the City Club Ballroom, Alphaland, Makati Place, Ayala Avenue Extension, Makati City with the George Washington Charity Ball and introduced one of its beneficiary, a 24 Years Old with severe health problem. For years, AAP is helping Americans and Amerasians in need by raising funds. A mini silent auction was held during the Charity Ball.

More than 200 attendees came that includes the incumbent US Ambassador Sung Kim, Former US Ambassador to the USA Jose Cuisia Jr and Delia Rosal, Chairman Rick Sobreviñas of AAP and his wife Irene Donohue Sobreviñas, Dr. Ofelia Maristela, Jose Maristela Jr, President Joe Maristela III of AAP, Maria Banatao and Ebb Hinchliffe of American Chamber of Commerce among others.
