Azkals New Journey

When it comes to football, we believe that Azkals has a great potential in this field and they already proved it. Headed by Coach Thomas Dooley, the team Azkals has a new journey, and he revealed his plans in their presscon last April 2, 2018. He is looking for the next batch of Azkals and he calls it teen Azkals. The road to success in 2026 is not easy. But Dooley says though it will be harder than we can imagine, it will be worth it if they can have more practice and focus , the sooner the better. For him the best age to start  playing is 6 to 7 but they will choose 14 years of age to be part of their training. It is important that their mind and body are both ready so that the connection will be in the best condition. Coach Dooley share his personal experiences in his journey as a football player until he became coach. He said that it’s not how good you are as a coach but how good you are as a teacher. According to him, the qualifications are as follows; you must be a Filipino, playing in any league here in the Philippines and must have a knowledge about the game. He also discussed the key of becoming successful . Here are the tips from him.

1.Clear- You should know what you want in life. If you want to become a football player then pursue your dreams.

2.Write it down- Plan. If you already have that ambition, the next thing you do is not just to dream but to look for ways to make it happen. Again, this foundation is looking for youths who play football.

3. Must follow the plan step by step. This is the perfect opportunity to make your dream come true. As I said, the foundation wants to have players that will represent this country in 2026.

4. Believe that you can do it. All you have to do is trust yourself.
