Zero Waste Month Takes Off With The 4Th Eco-Waste Management Summit

Over the years, as the world began to develop, it slowly became evident that industrialization and economic growth come hand in hand with environmental degradation. There’s a lot of changing weather conditions and calamities. It is our concern because whatever happens to our environment, it directly affects us in so many ways.

The annual gathering for the eco waste management summit aims to further boost the DENR’s continuous efforts in enhancing public awareness and understanding of environmental issues and concerns. On January 25-27, 2018 at the ABS-CBN Vertis tent, Quezon City, the 17th anniversary of RA9003 and the 4th Zero Waste Month, the Environmental Management Bureau of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources holds the Ecological Waste Management Summit. “Strengthening Cooperation and Partnership on Ecological Solid Waste Management for the present and future generations”.

The summit presents an interactive program that will inform, instruct and inspire participants to take the lead towards a cleaner and greener world. It includes the practical knowledge about waste segregation, composting and recycling. Some of Summit activities include seminars and talks on current Environmental situation, laws and Regulations, Technological Innovations and Sustainable goals.

This government initiative enjoins a stronger partnership with all stakeholders, local governments, communities, private businesses, and the public.
It will be a big help to protect our mother nature. We can preserve our natural resources through our daily routine specially in our business. Reducing the environmental impact of your business will have a greater chance of success. Recycling not only saves energy, it also reduces greenhouse gas emissions which helps to tackle climate change.
People should be aware of what we can contribute to help our environment. It can be hard but step by step we can build a better place to live not just for us but for the next generations. We just need to inform everyone and give them knowledge of what lifestyle we should have to live for a better future.
